How to get from Bali to Lombok? There are numerous routes to get from Bali to Lombok by boat. From south Bali you can take a fast boat from Sanur to Senggigi in west Lombok or Serangan to Bangsal harbor in north Lombok (Close to the Gili Islands). Gili Getaway and Scoot Cruises offer this route, both sailing via Nusa Lembongan island near Bali. From north Bali you can take a fast boat from Amed to Bangsal harbor with Freebird Express, sailing via the Gili Islands.
In case you are looking for a more direct ferry route from Bali to Lombok, we suggest getting a fast boat from Padang Bai to Lombok. Most boats departing from Padang Bai to Lombok will stop at the Gili Islands first, however the return route from Lombok to Bali is often a direct connection.
Although, we don’t advice this, if you are simply looking for the cheapest possible way to get to Lombok from Bali, there is a public slow ferry departing hourly from Padang Bai harbor to Lembar harbor in the south of Lombok.
Sailing times can take up to 5 hours and the conditions on board are mostly very low standard and uncomfortable cramped. Most foreign travelers decide to travel by high speed fast boat service to get to Lombok fast and comfortably.
